I like to bullet journal, which is sort of like a fancy to-do list for busy people. As an autistic person who works on a lot of projects, the concept is perfect for what I need, which is to remember things and keep track of everything all at once. This has uses outside work such as my ongoing game journal.
[as with the rest of the blog, these are my opinions:] After Heavensward's disappointing ending where the main bad guy (Nidhogg) not only lives but got away (!!!), I decided to kind of speedrun the rest of the game, lmao. Check out this cool spread I did for Stormblood (I was writing fast so there might be some errors in the Duties / Trials sections listing new places that are visited instead):
I know who the characters are and what happens generally, and I'm free to play it in a way that's fun for me. At level 90, I can solo almost anything so I'm having fun in that way :)
At the moment I'm tracking the ending of the post-Stormblood quests and getting into Shadowbringers. I like putting funny sticker sections in there, like the Ardbert one above and the Emet one below lol. (again there might be errors in the Duties / Trials section lisitng new places instead of actual Duties / Trials):
I think people should play in a way that's fun for them and that if something dumb or upsetting happens in a story where you have an oc-insert (or self-insert), you could probably ignore it because why not? games are supposed to be fun :)
